New Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani outlined his vision for the Championship club, which he bought from Massimo Cellino on 6 September.
“We’re going to operate as we did before,” said Italian Radrizzani, who owns Russian investment group EchoStar.
“I believe that in the short term this is better and it will be better after that,” he added.
Radrizzani also said he was happy that the company he owns now operates in 70 countries.
“That is so much more than any other sports club and that is the goal,” he said.
“We always have to be aggressive in the market. It is easy to go forward, we just have to keep our feet on the ground.
“We want to come as quickly as possible. We need to have the attention of the fans.
“In our first week we are thinking to entertain. This is a club that needs to be entertaining.”
Radrizzani and his associates have already shown they are determined to restore the passion for the club with the restoration of the club’s crest and shirt number – 13.
“We want a shirt number, a crest, all of this to be visible,” said Radrizzani.
“We want to play a team that is pleasing to the eye – to be clear the guys that came into the club are extremely intelligent and fit our vision.”
Radrizzani’s five-year plan to make Leeds a Premier League club will start in earnest once he is officially crowned club chairman.
He added: “I believe in the fans, I believe they are passionate about football and more than money I believe in passion.
“What I want to do is attract high-quality players and keep that culture. It is more than money, it is not finances, it is not trying to be the best club.
“I think we are going to find the right players and we are going to have fun. Leeds has such a great tradition, a big fanbase and big history.”
